Bridget Shields

 

Bridget Shields, MFA, ERYT500 has been teaching Yoga for more than 20 years. She has discovered the immeasurable benefits of practicing and sharing the gifts that Gentle & Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra and Ayurveda offer. She has studied with many luminaries, traveled globally, taught primarily in NYC and Houston and has led trainings, retreats and cooking classes around the world. Bridget’s training and certifications include: ISHTA: Alan Finger; Breathing Project Anatomy: Leslie Kaminoff; Pranayama & Meditation; Kaivalyadhama Yoga Therapy with Om Prakash Tiwari; Srivastsa Ramaswami; Heart of Yoga, The Desikachars; Restorative with Jillian Pransky; Pre & Post-Natal; Kundalini Gurumukh & Gurushabd; Wise Earth Ayurveda Practitioner with Mother Maya; TM practitioner; Vipassana meditation. Bridget has volunteered for YogaBear for Cancer Survivors, Gods Love we Deliver, Children’s Aid Society, The Women’s Home and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). To Bridget, the ability to guide others into the space of inner wisdom and well-being to instill the body’s innate healing continues to be an inspiring gift.

Gentle Essentials emphasizes foundational postures and is a slower paced and exceedingly nourishing class. Therapeutics for all chronic conditions, beginners, all levels, all ages and stages of life welcome. These specific restorative sequences prepares for pranayama, meditation and promotes deep rest.
